In the original oil painting Is This Enough?, the soul seeks validation but is too vulnerable to risk full exposure in pursuit of approval.  Cobalt spheres embedded among lime-colored strands are juxtaposed against a bold red background, a glossy effort to appear special and unique.  While beautiful, this superficial presentation lacks any true substance or depth, and falls flat instead of garnering admiration.  Unfulfilled, the soul continues to seek the outside validation it craves, not realizing that half-hearted efforts will fail.
